Scheduled
As of March 31 TLS 1.1 (Transport Layer Security) will reach its end of life and will no longer be supported. As it is not compliant with modern security best practices we are completely removing TLS 1.1 from our architecture. We will be performing this maintenance in ourHong Kong (HK), Singapore (SG) and Taiwan (TW) data centers in their maintenance window, 02:00 - 05:00 server time.

Kinsta was launched with TLS 1.2 support and TLS 1.3 has been available since 2018 - when it was released; our network has always benefited from the highest level of security.

This change will not affect the uptime of sites hosted by Kinsta. However, there are two issues site owners should be aware of:

A very small percentage of visitors who use legacy browsers may be affected. Since 2013-2014 all major browsers have had support for at least TLS 1.2. Visit Can I use TLS 1.2 for a list of browsers that may be affected by this change.

If you use a legacy API without TLS 1.2 support for a custom integration, that integration will stop working. This only applies to APIs which have not updated to TLS 1.2 since 2008 when it became available.
